This just might be one of my favorites to date.  The Spring Leaves shawl.  This shawl is knit from the center out to each end with a provisional cast on, so that you have this pretty edging at the cast off edges.  The pattern is very flexible so you can knit whatever size you choose, from a narrow scarf to a wide stole, in any length.  I used about 1/2 skein of Wollmeise Lace-Garn in Blaue Tinte, just over 900 yards, for a roughly 90 x 20 inch shawl.

This yarn has the most gorgeous drape to it and the shawl can easily be worn as a stole over the shoulders or scrunched up as a scarf.
